The Hobbit is a fairly long book that is mainly about a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins setting off on a adventure with Gandalf the Wizard and a group of dwarves to reclaim the treasure that the dragon Smaug stole from them long ago. Along the way they are attacked by Goblins, Wolves, Spiders, and even Gollum. Although this is a great book the beginning is pretty boring so don't give up. I would recommend this book for kids aged 10-13. Goodbye and Happy Reading!

The Capture
Lately I've been reading a series written by a woman named Kathryn Lasky. The first book in the series is called the Capture. The book is about a owl named Soren being kidnapped by the cruel adults of St.Aggies Academy. Soren and his new found friend Gylfie escape being moon-blinked and escape. After escaping they try to find Soren and Gylfie's family. While going over the Beaks they are enchanted but escape thanks to Soren's families nest-maid Mrs.Plithiver. They eventually end up at the Narrows with a Puffin family. In the end they finally make it to the Legendary Great Ga'Hoole tree on the Island of Hoole. I highly recommend this book series to kids aged 9-12. Goodbye and Happy Reading!

The Lion,The Witch,And The Wardrobe
This is one of C.S. Lewis' best books and one of my personal favorites. The book it self is about 4 children named Edmund, Peter, Lucy, and Susan who discover Narnia by going inside a wardrobe. Once there they meet several nice animals such as Mr.Tumnus, Mr.Beaver, and Mrs.Beaver. There is also the great lion Aslan who represents Christ in this book along with the dreadful White Witch who's name is Jadis. This book is great for all ages that can read. If you want find out more about the wardrobe, the White Witch, and about Aslan and the makings of Narnia I'd suggest reading the first book called The Magician's Nephew. Goodbye and Happy Reading!

The Indispensable Calvin And Hobbes
This is a great comic book by Bill Watterson. It is about a boy named Calvin and his stuffed tiger friend Hobbes who can talk. In the comic the two have all kinds of adventures and also cause a lot of mischief. Usually most of Calvin's pranks are aimed on his teachers, parents, classmates, and most of all a girl named Susie Derkins. All together I have loved this comic book and most boys age 8-12 probably would to. Goodbye and Happy Reading!

Trapped In Ice
This book is about a mother and her two children Andrew and Helen going on a expedition to a research station on Herschel Island in the Yukon. Eventually though the ship stops because of ice so there stranded. In the end the crew members split up with the leader of the expedition leaving to Herschel Island, two other people trying to get to Alaska, and the rest going to Wrangell's Island near The country of Russia. Helen and her family are saved by a whaling ship while the rest had other consequences. Altogether I thought this book was great, exciting, tension raising, and sometimes even funny. I would recommend this for kids 9-12 the most. Goodbye and Happy Reading.

Titanic
This book is a Magic Tree House Research Guide about the huge ship called the Titanic which sank near the Atlantic coastline on April 15,1912. This book is great for research and even tells about some of the passengers. In the back of the book it also shows books, videos, and places on the internet where you can find more information. I would recommend it for ages 8-11. Altogether I thought this was a great and helpful book on the Titanic. Goodbye and Happy Reading.

The first one Geronimo secretly has a crush on and she also has a crush on him but neither has said anything about it to the other. Anyway they go to Australia together. They also got Geronimo to wear contact lenses and jeans for the trip. While there they go surfing, swim with Dolphins, go to see Uluru previously known as Ayers Rock, and meet two Aborigines named Wangara and Wani. They also see wild pumpkins, Macadamias, and Honeycombs. Then they listen to a story. Then Geronimo is left alone. While left alone he hears a Kookaburra , picks a wild pumpkin to eat along with some nuts and fruit, grabs a honeycomb and is chased by bees, and eats Damper which is a Australian Bush Bread. Then he finds his friends, exchanges a fountain pen from his Grandpa for a didgeridoo which was given to Wangara by his grandpa. It is a Australian instrument. The Silver Chair
This exciting chapter book is about Eustace from the previous book The Dawn Treader and his friend Jill entering Narnia. There they are told to find the missing Prince Rilian from the Wild Lands Of The North along with a negative Marsh-Wiggle named Puddlegum. In the adventure they meet scary and not so bright Giants and also bright Giants who want to eat them for the Autumn Feast. This was a great book full of adventure, excitement, and wonder. I would recommend it to people who have already read the earlier books though. Altogether I loved it and it is also one of my personal favorites. If you do buy this book or already have it but haven't read it I'm sure you'd enjoy it. Goodbye and Happy Reading.
