Zoo Tycoon:The Complete Collection

Zoo Tycoon is a fun game for your PC. You can build your own zoo with over 100 different species of animals. They currently have 3 expansion packs including Marine Mania,Dinosaur Digs, and The Complete Collection which includes all 3. The animals produce cute babies which grow up. You can even spread havoc by letting mean animals loose and having wars between the species. Certain animals such as the great white and T-Rex actually can severely injure or even kill the guests. There are several cheats and codes too. If you name an exhibit Xanadu you can get Unicorns, Cretaceous Corral to get Triceratops, and Super Croc to get a prehistoric giant crocodile. All together it's really fun.

Submarine Outlaw

Submarine Outlaw is a great book by a Newfoundland author. The story begins with a 12-year old boy living in a fishing village. His grandpa expects him to become a fisherman like him and everyone else in the village. But the boy doesn't want this life. With the help of a junkyard dealer he builds a submarine. Once afloat he goes on many adventures with his seagull Seaweed and his dog Hollie. Some of these include escaping from the Coastguard, saving a family on a sinking sailboat, and meeting many new friends. The whole story itself takes place in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. I would recommend this book for kids aged 9-14. Farewell until the next post.

the dog who wouldn't be by Farley Mowat

The dog who wouldn't be is about a dog who likes to act like a human. Like for instance climbing ladders. Some other crazy things he does include walking on the tops of fences, diving for crayfish, chasing skunks, and even insisting on wearing motor goggles in the car. This is Mutt a canine character whose extraordinary adventures are really doggone funny. Even though this book is about forty years old it is still a great and funny book. I would recommend it to kids between the ages of nine and thirteen. That's it for now and thanks for reading.
