Submarine Outlaw

Submarine Outlaw is a great book by a Newfoundland author. The story begins with a 12-year old boy living in a fishing village. His grandpa expects him to become a fisherman like him and everyone else in the village. But the boy doesn't want this life. With the help of a junkyard dealer he builds a submarine. Once afloat he goes on many adventures with his seagull Seaweed and his dog Hollie. Some of these include escaping from the Coastguard, saving a family on a sinking sailboat, and meeting many new friends. The whole story itself takes place in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. I would recommend this book for kids aged 9-14. Farewell until the next post.

sounds like a fun book. I always love books about inventors/innovators!
